Why Counselling with us?

Sometimes life can be overwhelming with the stresses and strains of daily living and at times from more serious events that occur which bring crisis to ones life. Counselling offers the emotional support one needs to navigate the challenges of life.

Counselling is about talking, listening and problem solving. It is a facilitative process whereby individuals come to terms with their own thoughts and emotions. Counselling helps one to make connections between past events and current patterns of behaviours. It helps people process thoughts, feelings and events and enables people to become ‘unstuck,’ to make changes in their lives and realise their potential.

As an experienced professional Counsellor you can be assured that Kirsty's only focus is on helping you navigate through the difficult time you are facing and to create an environment where you can feel free to be yourself.

Why mediation with us?

KS Counselling & Mediation offers a collaborative approach to the mediation process by teaming up with Caroline Harrington from Peace At Last Mediation. Caroline practiced as an attorney at law for over ten years and in 2014 became a full time mediator. As a mental health professional, Kirsty mediates all aspects related to the care and contact of children and Caroline mediates the financial aspects. We believe that by combining our skill set we can offer you a more holistic approach to the mediation process. We both hold the strong belief that mediation is the key to the best and most cost effective outcome when going through the divorce or separation process. Our key focus is to help you come to an agreement that best suits your specific family needs.
